5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 20
A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:
1. Washington's Birthday: Today is President's Day, a beautiful winterday for the kids to have off of school in honor of great leaders in our country. According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 46 degrees and a north wind between 15 and 17 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 31 degrees and a north wind between 6 and 9 mph becoming calm.
2. Building Bridges: Do you think the Rumson-Sea Bright bridge is due for a replacement? The county is looking for your opinion. On Monday, Feb. 27, Monmouth County will hold two public meetings about the status of the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge (S-32) over the Shrewsbury River between Rumson and Sea Bright. These meetings are an opportunity for residents to voice their opinion. Click here for details and to vote in our poll.

3. Best in Show: With the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this past week, I thought it would be nice for the less pedigreed mutts of Rumson and Fair Haven to be recognized since all of their pure-bred, blue-ribbon counterparts are getting all the attention on television!
