1. Winter Chill: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 37 degrees and a north wind 7 to 13 mph becoming south. Tonight will actually felt like winter with a chance of snow showers mainly after 7:00 p.m. Aside from the flurries, the night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 32 degrees and a west wind between 14 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
2. Mayor Resigning: Mayor Michael Halfacre will announce his resignation on Monday, January 23 at the regular council meeting, according to a report by the Asbury Park Press. According to the article, Halfacre will resign as of Feb. 3 and become the director of the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control on Feb. 6 in Trenton. Click for more details.

3. Smashed Windows: A rash of vandalism struck the Two River area over night on Tuesday according to the police departments in Fair Haven, Rumson and Red Bank. Several windows of cars, homes and businesses were smashed in by rocks according to police. Click for more information about these incidents.

Race to Nowhere: The Rumson Elementary PTO is sponsoring a screening of the film "Race to Nowhere" on Thursday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Auditorium. This documentary features individual student stories highlighting the psychological and physical costs related to readiness, success, and pressures associated with school.
