Alice (DeLanoy) Flynn Of Rumson Passes Away

RUMSON, NJ — Alice (DeLanoy) Flynn, formerly of Rumson, NJ, Seaford NY, Roanoke, VA and Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully on January 27 surrounded by her family. Her obituary was submitted by her family to Patch.

Alice grew up in Rumson, NJ where she excelled in many sports and was inducted to the Rumson High School Hall of Fame. She was married to Gerry Flynn of New York for 52 years until his passing.

Alice lived for 26 years in Roanoke, VA and was an integral part in raising her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a big volunteer at the Discovery Shop of the American Cancer Society in Roanoke and will be sorely missed by many of her coworkers and customers. She moved to Palm Coast, Florida on December 15, 2018 and was so happy to be able to get back to the Daytona Beach area once again. She loved the beach and the ocean and to us, that is where she felt at peace.

There will be no service but donations in her name may be sent to the Discovery Shop at 3723 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24014.
