Boat Rescue Off Sea Bright Sunday

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard responded to a call for a boat in distress late Sunday afternoon off Sea Bright.

Sea Bright, NJ - Members of the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Sandy Hook responded to call for a boat that needed to be rescued late Sunday afternoon off Sea Bright.

The call of the disabled boat came in at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, and the boater was approximately a quarter mile off the Sea Bright beaches, confirmed Charles Murphy, the Sea Bright Police Department's Chief of Administration.

The Coast Guard sent a boat out and towed the man in. There were no injuries. The Coast Guard confirmed the rescue to Patch, but did not offer any other details.
