Bruce Springsteen at the Pru Center Jan. 31

Yup, this Rumson resident is heading home. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play the Prudential Center on Sunday, Jan. 31 with The River Tour.

The announcement of the tour coincides with today’s release of “The Ties That Bind: The River Collection,” a comprehensive look at the ‘80s era and “The River” album that Rolling Stone called “Springsteen’s best archival release yet.”

Tickets for The River Tour go on sale Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. via www.Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Springsteen will precede the tour with a Dec. 19 performance on “Saturday Night Live,” his third appearance on the NBC show.
