Dramatic Photo Of 3-Alarm Monmouth Beach Fire
The fire started in the late morning at a private home on Riverdale Avenue and Valentine Street. All residents safely got out.

MONMOUTH BEACH, NJ — Monmouth Beach police allowed us to re-publish this photo of a dramatic three-alarm house fire that broke out there Tuesday morning.
The fire started at 11:11 a.m. at a private home on Valentine Street at Riverdale Avenue.
"All initial reports indicate that everyone exited the residences safely without injury," Monmouth Beach Police Chief Thomas C. Walsh told Patch.

Due to the high winds, the flames quickly spread to a second home and the fire rose to third-alarm status, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Several roads in and out of Monmouth Beach were shut down.

The incident is under investigation by Monmouth Beach Detective Peter Rechtman and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, both of which are on scene at this time. A cause has not been released.
