League of Women Voters Holding Fair Haven Borough Council Candidate Forum

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 7:30-9:00 pm, the League of Women Voters Greater Red Bank Area is holding a candidate forum for candidates running for Fair Haven Borough Council this November. The event is taking place at Bicentennial Hall, 22 Cedar Avenue, Fair Haven, 07704.

Four candidates are running for two seats on the council, each for a full three-year term. The candidates are Meghan Chrisner-Keefe (Democrat), Michael “Mike” McCue (Democrat), Jonathan Peters (Republican) and Jacqueline Rice (Republican).

The forum will include opening statements from the candidates, questions from the audience (submitted in writing and read by the moderator) and candidates’ closing statements. A trained moderator from outside of Fair Haven will preside, in accordance with the League policy.

The League of Women Voters of New Jersey, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
