Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair To Resume In 2021

The beloved summer festival will recommence this year following its cancellation in 2020. Here's what to expect this year:

FAIR HAVEN, NJ - The borough’s popular summer food and fun festival will return this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, officials said this week.

During the latest Fair Haven Borough Council meeting, officials noted that the Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair, one of New Jersey’s “greatest traditions,” will come back in August.

The festival, which typically runs for a week, is considered one of the largest firemen’s fairs in the state.

“The plan is to go on essentially as normal as possible, with the only exception being the seafood not available, not for dine-in or takeout, but everything else,” Councilman Mike McCue said during the meeting, as initially reported by Red Bank Green.

The 61st annual fair was cancelled last year over pandemic-related concerns.
