The beloved end-of-summer hallmark will run every night except for Sundays now through Saturday, Sept. 3.

Fair Haven, NJ - It's a beloved end-of-summer hallmark, and it starts Friday night: The Fair Haven Fireman's Fair.

The fair kicks off Friday night, Aug. 26 and will run every night except for Sundays through Saturday, Sept. 3. Fair hours are Friday and Saturday: 6 p.m. - 11 p.m., and Monday-Thursday: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Held at 645 River Road in Fair Haven, the firehouse grounds will hold a merry go-round, a train, rides such as the Zipper, Rainbow, Wipeout and a large Ferris wheel. Kids can also take rides on Fair Haven fire trucks for several blocks through town.

As for food, there will be a sit-down dining room featuring local seafood specialties and an "Out-Back" kitchen that serves hamburgers, hotdogs, cotton candy and ice cream. The Fair Haven Firemen's Fair is the largest firemen's fair in New Jersey and is the second largest fair of any kind in the state, organizers say.
