Flooding Reported On Rt. 36 In Highlands, Sea Bright
Breaking: As of 9:49 a.m. flooding was reported on Rt. 36 in both directions in Sea Bright to north of Bay Avenue in Highlands.

RUMSON, NJ — Coupled with the snow, there's now flooding reported in parts of waterfront Monmouth County, as the winter storm coincided with this morning's high tide:
As of 9:51 a.m. today, flooding was reported on Rt. 36 in both directions in the area of Sandy Hook in Sea Bright, NJ 511 is reporting. One lane may be closed in that area.
As of 9:49 a.m. flooding was reported on Rt. 36 in both directions from south of CR 520/Rumson Rd. in Sea Bright to north of Bay Avenue in Highlands. All lanes were closed.

"It’s enough that the police shut down Ocean Avenue for a little bit," said a member of Sea Bright Fire Rescue, who said they did not have photos. They usually close Ocean Ave. when the flooding is more than a few inches. There have been no calls for help, they said.
And as of 9:51 a.m. flooding was reported on Rt. 35 southbound south of 71/H Street in Belmar. The right lane was closed.
