Holy Cross Celebrates Catholic Schools Week
Two of the celebratory events included a skating party and a faculty vs. student volleyball game.
Faith. Academics. Service.
Those words were the theme of the annual Catholic Schools Week celebrated by the (HC) Elementary School.
According to the National Catholic Educational Association website, "Schools typically celebrate Catholic Schools Week with Masses, open houses and activities for students, families, parishioners and the community at large."

The week lasted from January 29 through February 5.

The HC PTA welcoming committee, chaired by Claire Passarella & Lori Fazzolari, organized an ice skating outing at Red Bank Armory. "We had a great turn out- 138 students," said Claire Passarella.
The students also took on the faculty duing the week for a volleyball challenge. "A favorite part of Catholics Schools Week is the annual faculty vs. 8th grade volleyball game," explained Teresa Makin. "Eighth grade won 3 matches to 1!"
