Obituary: June G. Quinn, 86, Who Beautified Rumson Homes

June Quinn of Virginia remodeled homes and refinished antique furniture in Rumson.

June George Quinn, 86, of New Market, VA, passed away to be with her Lord at her home at Shennandoah Place on Monday, June 16, 2014. Mrs. Quinn was born on April 3, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA and was the daughter of Brooks T. George and Mary Jarvis. She grew up in Belington, West Virginia and graduated from Belington High School in 1945.

June was married in 1949 to Solomon F. Quinn, a 30 year career FBI Agent, who passed away in 2003. She was the beloved wife and mother of two sons and grandmother of four.

June was well-known for her talent in remodeling homes and refinishing antique furniture. The "Quinn's Houses" in Rumson, NJ, Mt. Jackson, VA, and New Market, VA were a tribute to the talent and devotion of a wonderful wife and mother.

She is survived by her son, Michael Quinn, his wife Froncie, their two daughters, Sarah and Elizabeth as well as by her son, Charles Quinn, his son, Martin and daughter, Karen.

A service celebrating the life of June will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Manor Memorial United Methodist Church in New Market. She will be laid to rest at a later date in the family's gravesite near her beloved West Virginia home of Belington.
