NJ Acai Bowl Chain To Open Sea Bright Storefront This Weekend

Saturday will mark the grand opening of the Ocean Avenue location, which is slated to include food and gift giveaways all day.

SEA BRIGHT, NJ - A surf-inspired superfood storefront will make its debut in Sea Bright on Saturday. Touted as the Jersey Shore's original acai bowl shop, the store will host a grand opening celebration this weekend featuring free food, beverage and gift giveaways.

Located at 1110 Ocean Avenue, the Sea Bright site will open its doors Saturday at 10 a.m. with free bowls and t-shirts for the first 50 customers who join the socially-distanced line.

Giveaways will continue throughout the day with items like epic surfboards, Playa Cold Pressed Juice and roar beverages up for grabs.

This will be Playa's 112th location nationwide and ninth in Monmouth County. Other locations include Holmdel, Red Bank, Long Branch, Freehold, Oakhurst and Marlboro.

Founded by surfers Abby Taylor and Rob Giuliani, the chain was inspired by the post-surf acai and pitaya bowls popular in beach communities in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, California, and Hawaii. Playa Bowls can be made vegan and gluten-free, and can be altered for Whole 30, Keto, and Paleo diets.
