NJ Weather: Chance Of Showers All Weekend At Jersey Shore

NEW JERSEY - Rainfall is expected to hit the Jersey Shore this week, bringing a string of expected cloudy days and overnight showers.

The National Weather Service says that Thursday and Sunday will be the clearest days this week, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low- to mid-60s for most of the day. Friday is expected to remain partly sunny, but holds a slight chance of showers after 3 p.m. (see the full forecast below).

Friday night moving into Saturday morning could see more rainfall, with cloudy skies and low-60s temperatures expected all day Saturday.

Those with travel plans on the road and in the air across the Central, Eastern and Southern states should anticipate afternoon thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday, according to AccuWeather.

Wednesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a slight chance of showers between 9pm and 10pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 48. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 62. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. West wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight.

Friday: A slight chance of showers after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers before 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
