Nor'easter Floods Monmouth/Ocean Towns: PICS
Breaking: This was the scene in Sea Bright at 8:20 a.m. Friday. Middletown and LBI also flooded. Have you seen any bad flooding?

SEA BRIGHT, NJ — If you think you had a bad commute this morning, Jersey Shore towns along the coast also experienced tidal flooding, with Friday's nor'easter bringing freezing sea water into the back bays and low-lying areas.
This was the scene at 8:20 a.m. Friday in low-lying Sea Bright, along the Shrewsbury River, courtesy of News Channel 4. In Middletown Twp., Main Street in Belford by the Belford Ferry Terminal also flooded this morning.
The train tracks at Hoboken Terminal also flooded. In Ocean County, Long Beach Boulevard is flooded in areas. "Please use back roads to avoid flooding," police said. Read more: Long Beach Boulevard Expected to Flood During High Tides

Friday night's high tide and Saturday morning's high tides are the ones to really watch for. Middletown told people who live in low-lying areas to move their cars to higher ground (the town opened up the train station lot).

A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect Friday morning through Saturday night, and several rounds of high tide flooding are to be expected through at least Saturday night. The storm surge Saturday morning will be around 2 to 2.5 feet.

There will be sustained winds Friday of 20-35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. Winds are expected to increase rapidly Friday morning and peak during the afternoon and evening, before diminishing Friday night into Saturday.
The Keansburg school district gave students a half-day dismissal Friday. And Keansburg residents who live in areas that flood were told to move their vehicles to higher ground.
