RUMSON, NJ — After a nearly 24-hour closure, the Oceanic Bridge re-opened late Thursday night. Rumson police announced it was re-opened Friday morning as of 7:30 a.m.

The well-used bridge goes over the Navesink River and connects Rumson with Middletown. It is a key connector in the area, especially for Rumson residents.

It was closed entirely to traffic, in both directions, Thursday morning, June 27 at 8:45 a.m. due to a downed pole. It remained closed for nearly all of Thursday.
