Rumson Road Closed Today Due To Utility Work: Cops

RUMSON, NJ - Rumson Road will be closed to east and west traffic between Fair Haven Road and Hance Road, Rumson police said Wednesday.

From 7 a.m. until about 6 p.m. on Nov. 18, Rumson Road will be closed while New Jersey American Water Services conduct utility work in the area of Buttonwood Lane.

Residents will still have access to their homes, police confirmed in a statement on social media.

Residents who live west of Buttonwood Lane are asked to enter Rumson Road via Hance Road. Those who live east of Buttonwood Lane are asked to enter Rumson Road via Fair Haven Road.

“Please try to avoid Rumson Rd, and use Ridge Rd for thru traffic,” police wrote.
