Stolen Car Prompts Vehicle Pursuit By Red Bank Police
Officers from the Red Bank Police Department became involved in a vehicle pursuit near Broad Street on Monday.
RED BANK, NJ – Reports of a stolen vehicle on Broad Street prompted a vehicle pursuit involving officers from the Red Bank Police Department, according to authorities.
On Aug. 31 at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers from Red Bank became involved in the pursuit after observing a Range Rover matching the description of the stolen vehicle in downtown Red Bank, according to Police Chief Darren McConnell.
The vehicle had reportedly been unlocked with the key fob left in the car.

Red Bank officers pursued the vehicle into Shrewsbury, then west on Newman Springs Rd to the Garden State Parkway where the pursuit was terminated by the on-duty supervisor.
As reported by Red Bank Green, New Jersey State Police were notified of the last known direction of travel of the vehicle.

The theft serves as the latest incident in a string of high-end vehicle thefts in Monmouth County, with other reports based in Freehold, Hazlet, Holmdel and Manalapan. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove any fob before leaving a car unattended.
