Thankful for Last-Minute Carlo's Bakery, Sugarush Sweets on Thanksgiving

If there's a last minute Thanksgiving dessert you need to pick up and bring to the table wherever you're going, there's hope yet to make the holiday sweeter.

Two Red Bank bakeries will be open for a limited time.

Sugarush, on Front Street, will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., owners announced on their Facebook page.

And they'll have some mini pies pretty fresh out of the oven, thanks to a rush of business.

"You guys really know how to make two guys (and their family) very thankful!! a post on the page said Wednesday night. "We sold out of all of our mini pies today and we just started new batches. We have homemade apple and homemade pumpkin pies FRESH out of the oven!! We will be here tonight until 7pm and open tomorrow from 11:30 - 1:30. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

The guys over there have some really cute turkey cupcakes, among many others, and mini apple, pecan and pumpkin pies

And, over at the brand new Carlo's Bakery Red Bank, on Broad Street, the shop will be open "filling cannolis until tomorrow (Thanksgiving) afternoon," a post on the bakery's Facebook page said Wednesday night. "In honor of Thanksgiving we will close at 3 p.m.

"Pecan, Apple Crumb, Pumpkin...just some of the pies we've got ready for your Thanksgiving dinner! Stop in and pick one up for the holiday!"

The Cake Boss' crumb cake is pretty delicious on its own. They had some samples at the opening. Check our photos here to see some of the sights at Carlo's.
