$1 Million Vaccination Giveaway Registration Now Open In Ohio

Vaccinated Ohioans can now register to win the Vax-a-Million lottery.

OHIO — Registration for Ohio's unorthodox $1 million lottery for vaccinated residents opened Tuesday morning.

Five fully vaccinated Ohioans will be randomly selected to win $1 million. One winner will be announced each week starting May 26. To be eligible to win, Ohioans must opt into the lottery through the Vax-a-Million website.

Winners must be at least 18-years-old, Ohio residents, and recipients of at least the first part of the COVID-19 vaccine. A separate lottery giveaway is being held for teenagers, offering winners a scholarship for a four-year ride to any state college or university.

The Ohio Department of Health will need to verify the vaccine status of any winners. By registering on the website, Ohioans are giving permission to state health department officials to investigate their vaccine status.
