94-Year-Old Woman Attacked, Killed In Cleveland Home Invasion
A 74-year-old woman also was injured in the violent home invasion early Monday, police said.
CLEVELAND -- A 94-year-old woman died and a 74-year-old woman was injured after a violent home invasion early Monday, police said. The incident happened just before 1:45 a.m. in the 6200 block of Gertrude Avenue.
The suspect also took property from the home. Both victims were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. The 94-year-old woman died at the hospital. The other woman is being treated for head trauma, police said.
The suspect entered the home through a window where he confronted both victims who were sleeping in a bedroom, police said. The suspect is believed to be about 25 years old.
