Bank Robber Sought By FBI In Cleveland

The suspect threatened to shoot a teller at a Lorain Avenue bank on Tuesday, the FBI said.

CLEVELAND — A PNC Bank in Cleveland was robbed Tuesday afternoon.

An unidentified man walked into the Lorain Avenue bank and approached one of the tellers. According to the FBI, when the suspect and teller were face-to-face, he told her, "Don't give me any bait or dye packs or I'll shoot your head off, hurry up and give me the money."

The teller handed over cash and the man ran out of the bank. The suspect was seen jogging toward W. 117th Street, the FBI said.

The suspect was 6 feet tall, with a slim build. He weighed between 140 and 150 pounds and had white or dirty blonde hair. He appeared to be in his late 40s or early 50s.

During the robbery, he was wearing a camouflage shirt with orange writing, a white surgical mask and blue jeans. Photos of the suspect are above this article.

PNC is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's identification and prosecution. Tips related to the robbery can be provided to the Cleveland Division of the FBI, Cleveland police or CrimeStoppers at 216-252-7463. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
