Census Bureau Survey Findings About Cleveland Food For Thought
City ranks near the top of the list of Ohio's poorest cities for median family income below $40K.

CLEVELAND, OH -- The U.S. Census Bureau released the results of its five-year American Community Survey Dec. 6. It was taken from 2011 through 2016, according to cleveland.com. In Ohio, some of the data for Cleveland isn't so surprising considering the city's decreasing population.
For example, Greater Cleveland has two cities with the oldest median age: Beachwood and Seven Hills. Cleveland's population is 10.8 percent Hispanic but 8.1 percent Puerto Rican. The black population of the city is now 50.8 percent.
Cleveland's minority group population is at 65.7 percent, and in the most troubling statistic, the city's median family income is now at $32,488. That is down by $4,394 from 2011.
