Cleveland City Utility Worker Arrested For Selling Stolen Goods
Cleveland Police have arrested a city utilities worker who was stealing scrap metal and selling it.

CLEVELAND, OH -- An employee at the Harvard Avenue facility was arrested Wednesday on the suspicion of selling stolen goods. The arrest was the result of an internal investigation conducted by the City of Cleveland and the Cleveland Division of Police.
The employee is accused of stealing metals belonging to the City of Cleveland that he had access to while working at the facility. He is accused of selling the metals as scrap. Following the City’s internal investigation, its findings were turned over to the Division of Police who arrested the employee at work.
It is the City of Cleveland’s policy that all employees are entitled to due process. As this is an active investigation, the City of Cleveland will provide more details as they become available.
