Cleveland Police Investigating Series Of Violent Attacks Overnight

In one case, a man was shot in the back of the head. In another, two young women were stabbed.

CLEVELAND, OH—Police detectives are investigating a series of violent overnight attacks, including one where a man was shot in the back of the head. Details on each in the incidents, though, were few this morning.

At 12:44 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 4000-block of East 136th Street. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. A spokesman this for the police department this morning said he did not have details on the man’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Earlier in the night, at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the 4500-block of Admiral Drive for an burglary and assault. The suspects, who shot at the home owner, may be connected to multiple burglaries, police reported.

A description of the suspects was not available this morning, the police spokesman said.

In a third incident, two women, ages 21 and 24, were stabbed during an incident Tuesday on Lardet Avenue. The women were taken to University Hospitals. No further information was available on the incident this morning.
