The assault reportedly happened after a sale of marijuana went awry between the two men.

CLEVELAND, OH -- A Cleveland Police officer's 24-year-old son stabbed a 20-year-old man in the officer's home Christmas night, according to cleveland.com. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the home on Flower Avenue between W. 117th Street and W. 105th Street in the West Boulevard neighborhood. The officer's son had reportedly tried to purchase marijuana from the younger man, and according to the police report, the seller tried to rob the officer's son after they went to the Flower Avenue home to complete the purchase.

The officer came home while this was going on and told the seller to leave. The man told the officer his son owed him money. In the ensuing scuffle that took place in the kitchen of the home, the officer's son grabbed a steak knife from a drawer and stabbed the man in the neck. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was treated for his wound and arrested.
