Cleveland Warming Centers To Stay Open For The Next Day
With the extreme cold weather, the four recreation stations will serve as warming centers for residents through tomorrow.

CLEVELAND, OH -- The City of Cleveland will keep the four recreation centers open that have been open since Tuesday to provide shelter for anyone who is seeking it during this extreme cold snap. Michael Zone Recreation Center, Lonnie Burten Recreation Center, Zelma Watson George Recreation Center and Collinwood Recreation Center have been open 24 hours.
With the National Weather Service calling for sub-zero wind chill and single digits throughout Greater Cleveland overnight, the recreation centers will act as "warming stations" if the need arises for any resident. The CPP power outage on the West Side last night caused the city to open Gunning Recreation Center overnight, but power has been restored to Michael Zone Recreation Center.
