Construction Starts Soon On State Route 14 In Northeast Ohio

The Ohio Department of Transportation will close parts of SR 14 for 90 days.

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — Parts of State Route 14 will be closed beginning Aug. 17.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is overseeing repairs on two bridges over Mill Creek, between Miles Avenue and Libby Road in Garfield Heights. The whole project should be completed in late November.

Beginning Aug. 17, SR 14 will be closed between Miles and Libby for approximately 90 days, ODOT said.

Crews will be working on the first bridge project, between Garfield Parkway and Henry Street, starting Aug. 17. That bridge will be closed for 45 days.

Following the completion of the first project, crews will start work on the second bridge, between E. 104th and E. 93rd. That project will also take 45 days.

Drivers going east on SR 14 will detour along Miles Avenue to E. 131st to Harvard Avenue to Lee Road to Miles Avenue to Northfield Road to Libby Road to Broadway Avenue.

Drivers going west on SR> 14 will detour via Libby Road to Northfield Road to Miles Avenue to Broadway Avenue.
