Do You Know These Men? Cleveland Cops Seek Public's Help In Solving East Side Shooting

If you recognize these men, police want to hear from you.

CLEVELAND, OH—Police are asking the public to help identify suspects involved in an assault in June on the city’s east side. Police released photo from a surveillance camera in gas store where the incident took place.

According to a release, police were called to the area of East 84th Street and Superior Avenue for reports of gunshots. When they arrived at the Sunoco gas station, officers found a victim, Roderick Gilcrease, 26, of Cleveland, who had been shot in the arm.

Police said the Gilcrease was in a parked car at the station when someone in another vehicle started shooting at him. Gilcrease then got out of the car and returned gunshots. He then went inside the gas station, and gave his gun to another man, who in turn left the area.

Gilcrease, who was treated for his wound at University Hospitals, was later arrested on weapons charges and tampering with evidence.

Police are trying to identify the suspects who initiated the incident. In the photos above, the male in the red hat is the suspected shooter and the man with the ponytail was driving the vehicle.
