  1. East Fourth Street could become a hub for outdoor entertainment in the future. The owner of the location, Ari Maron, said he is working on plans for an outdoor refreshment area, valet, and swings and a canopy to make the space more inviting. "My goal is that we find ways to expand it throughout downtown if it?s successful. In other cities, every time one of these things is implemented, it has a really positive impact on the public realm and on the environment," Maron said. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
  2. A bicyclist was seriously injured last week when they were hit by a vehicle on Warren Road. According to police, the bicyclist was riding in the curb lane around 10:00 p.m. when a car struck him from behind and continued driving near Triskett Avenue. The victim reportedly sustained serious injuries. (Trigger warning) A video of the incident was captured by a nearby Ring doorbell camera and is available at the link. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. A salmonella outbreak linked to a pet bearded dragon has made its way to Ohio. The recent health crisis caused by the bearded dragons was reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention started in 2022. The outbreak has been reported in a total of 20 states so far and is spread through the reptile's fecal excrement. (Spectrum News 1)
