Ex-Celtics Guard Bradley Accused Of Assault In Cleveland: TMZ

CLEVELAND, OH – Ex-Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley paid a large sum of money to silence accusations of an alleged sexual assault that occurred while he was in Cleveland for the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals, TMZ is reporting.

Bradley, who now plays for the Detroit Pistons, entered into a confidentiality agreement with a reality star who said he sexually assaulted her while she was passed out drunk on May 23 in Cleveland, according to TMZ.

TMZ said negotiations reached as high as $400,000, but the final settlement isn't known.

Bradley's attorney told TMZ that Bradley only entered into the agreement to keep the woman from making public claims against him. Bradley "absolutely denies" any wrongdoing, and that the confidentiality agreement "refutes and denies the validity of all allegations of any wrongful conduct," his attorney said.

Bradley is one of the most highly regarded Celtics of the past 10 years. He spent the first seven years of his career with the team before being traded to Detroit before this season in exchange for Marcus Morris. Bradley bridged the gap between the Big Three era of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen, and the current set of Boston stars.
