Free Parking For Mass Vaccination Clinic In Cleveland

The Wolstein Center will host a mass vaccination clinic starting March 17.

CLEVELAND — The COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic at the Wolstein Center will open Wednesday. Attendees will be able to park for free when they travel into Cleveland for appointments.

The clinic will have the capacity to administer 6,000 vaccines per day. Patients who attend the clinic will receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine during the first three weeks of operations. Anyone vaccinated during that timeframe will be guaranteed a second dose during the fourth, fifth and sixth weeks of the clinic.

Ohioans can register for appointments through the Ohio Department of Health website.

Free parking will be available in Cleveland State University's garages and in select lots around the Wolstein Center, Cleveland police announced.

The Greater Cleveland RTA will also be offering special trips to the Wolstein Center for patients being vaccinated. More information on RTA's routes and offers can be found on the group's website.

When the vaccination clinic kicks-off there will be parking restrictions in downtown Cleveland to aid the flow of traffic.

The following restrictions will be in place for six to eight weeks from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • E. 18th: No parking on both sides of the street from Carnegie to Euclid.
  • E. 19th: No parking on both sides of the Street from Carnegie to the Central Ave. Extension
  • E. 21st: No parking on both sides of the street from Carnegie to Euclid.
  • Carnegie Avenue: No parking on both sides of the street from E. 18th to E. 21st.
  • Prospect Avenue: No parking on both sides of the street from E. 18th to E. 21st.
  • Central Avenue: No parking on both sides of the street from E. 18th to E. 19th.

Drivers coming into Cleveland using I-90 east or I-71 north should use the E. 9th Street exit (Exit 172A). Take E. 9th to Carnegie Avenue and turn right. Parking lots will be available off of Carnegie.

Drivers using I-90 west to come into Cleveland should use the Prospect Avenue exit (173A) and turn right onto Prospect and then left on to E. 21st.

There will be no road closures due to the vaccination clinic.
