Free Thanksgiving Meals Will Be Offered At A Number Of Churches

CLEVELAND, OH -- St. Augustine Church in Tremont has been serving a free Thanksgiving meal for the past 45 years. The church, located at 2486 W. 14th Street, has a year-round free meal program, but on Thanksgiving, they organize a growing number of volunteers and send them to other churches in the city. They are in need of volunteer drivers to transport people to and from St. Augustine as well as deliver meals to homebound persons.

St. Augustine will serve a full meal on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those wishing to register for a meal and those needing a ride to the meal or needing a meal delivered should call the church office at 216-781-5530 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

At St. Augustine, Sr. Corita Ambro has been the driving force behind the meal program, and she is asking for volunteers to help at the other meal sites. They also would appreciate donations in order to provide meals for approximately 10,000 people and their families on Thanksgiving.

Here is the list of churches on both the West and East Sides that will be serving a free Thanksgiving Day meal between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Unless otherwise noted.)

WEST SIDE
