Cleveland, Ohio – A colorful rendition of the neon sign that once graced the entry to Cleveland’s first gay-friendly bar now lights up a new concierge cocktail at the same downtown location.

Betts Restaurant, located inside the Kimpton Schofield Hotel at 2000 E. Ninth Street, occupies the site of the former Cadillac Lounge, which opened in the 1940s. Reflecting that history, the Kimpton Schofield has curated the featured cocktail in time for nationally recognized Pride Month, honoring members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Known as the Pride Cocktail, the drink combines Absolut Vodka and Mango Hibiscus Soda, resulting in a colorful blend.

“Since our founding at Kimpton we have embraced the LGBTQ community and have made a commitment to effecting positive change,” said Jordan Nye, Director of Sales and Marketing for Kimpton Schofield Hotel. “This cocktail is an homage to the history of our building and community. It’s a celebration of Cleveland’s past, present and future and supports a great cause with a donation of each cocktail going to the Trevor Project, which helps LGBTQ youth every day.”

A $2 donation from every cocktail sold will go to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. The ###a>Kimpton embraces the LGBTQ community and has made a commitment to helping effect positive change by partnering with organizations that can make a difference, including The Trevor Project.

In addition, The Kimpton Schofield is offering a Pride Package, which includes a room, two Pride cocktails and a $30 credit to Betts. Other specials will be available throughout June.
