M*A*S*H Star To Join Cleveland Orchestra For Holiday Concerts

The familiar face of Corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger will be part of this year's iconic Christmas Concert series.

CLEVELAND — The man who became famous on "M*A*S*H" as Corporal (and later Sergeant) Maxwell Q. Klinger — actor Jamie Farr — will join the Cleveland Orchestra for the band's annual, iconic Christmas Concerts series.

The Christmas Concerts are a holiday staple for many Northeast Ohioans. Severance Hall will play host to the shows starting on Friday, December 14. Eleven concerts will be conducted as part of the series. All performances will be led by Richard Kaufman. Farr will join the Orchestra and choruses on stage this year.

Farr will guide audiences through the musical journey of classic holiday tale "The Night Before Christmas." Klinger is a Toledo native and a 70s television icon.

Guest choirs from The College of Wooster and the The University of Akron will join the Cleveland Orchestra. Members of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus Chamber Ensemble, Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus will also be on hand.

Holiday concert attendees can expect to hear beloved classics like “O Holy Night,” “White Christmas,” and “Silent Night,” along with music from films like the Polar Express. Full program details are available on the Orchestra's website.
