Lyft Driver Identified As Victim Of Overnight Shooting On Cleveland's East Side
A 31-year-old woman who was a passenger also was wounded in the attack.

CLEVELAND, OH — The man shot and killed in an overnight attack has been identified as a 32-year-old driver for the Lyft ride share service. His passenger, a 31-year-old woman, was wounded and taken to University Hospital in Cleveland, according to media reports.
Police were called shortly after midnight to the intersection of Olympia and Wayside roads, where officers found two people shot, according a report from NewsNet5. The man, who died at the scene, was identified as Lyft driver Mourice Foster.
Lyft issued this statement: "We were horrified to learn of this incident, and are deeply saddened by the loss of life. Our thoughts are with those affected by this incredible tragedy. There is no place in our society for such violence. We stand ready to assist law enforcement in their investigation."
