Canadian native Michael Buble has had a love for jazz since the age of five when he listened to “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby during the holidays. After winning the Canadian Youth Talent Search, he started taking any singing job he could get, including hotel lounges, clubs, and on cruise ships. He independently recorded three albums in 1996, 2001, and 2002, but he got his big break after singing at the Prime Minister’s daughter’s wedding, where he caught the eye of record producer David Foster.

Buble released a self-titled album in 2003, along with a Christmas EP in the same year that showcased his smooth, jazzy vocals. A number of albums followed, with “Call Me Irresponsible” in 2007 reaching number one in Canada, the U.S., and throughout Europe, selling more than 5 million copies around the world. The success of the album earned Buble the 2007 Juno Fan Choice Award.
Inducted in 2015 into Canada’s Walk of Fame, Buble continues to entertain audiences around the world with his own original songs and covers from some of the world’s greatest artists. His rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” highlights his impressive vocals while “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison shows a more up-tempo side of Buble.

He adds his own jazzy feel to his covers, choosing songs on a whim, as Buble stated in a podcast this past June — “It sounds like a cliché when I say this. But the songs pick me, as much as I pick the songs. I think if you asked me and gave me a truth serum what I’m best at or where my talent lies, I’d probably say it’s in the reimagining and conceptualizing how to recreate songs, probably in a very cinematic and visual way.”
