Part Of I-77 To Close Over The Weekend In Northeast Ohio
Drivers may need to find a detour as crews do bridge deck replacements on I-77 over I-490.
CLEVELAND — Several portions of and ramps to I-77 will be closed over the weekend, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced. Only limited local access will be maintained along hte I-77 closure, the department said.
According to the department, the weekend closures will include: I-77 north at I-480, I-480 east and west ramps to I-77 north, I-490 east to I-77 south, and I-77 north to I-490 west. The closures will start Friday at 8 p.m. and continue until Sunday at 3 p.m.
Detours will be in place for drivers.

- For motorists trying to use I-77 north at I-480, the detour will be I-480 west to SR 176 to I-490 east to I-77 north.
- For motorists trying to use the I-480 east or west ramps to I-77 north, the detour will be SR 176 to I490 east to I-77 north.
- For motorists trying to use I-490 east to I-77 south, the detour will be Broadway Avenue north to E. 30th to I-77 north.
- For motorists trying to go from I-77 north to I-490 west, the detour will be Broadway Avenue north to I-490 west.
Like all construction projects, the closures are weather dependent. Current forecasts show a sunny, dry weekend with temperatures in the upper 60s.
Crews will be doing bridge deck replacements along I-77 over I-490 during the closure.
