President Joe Biden Coming To Cleveland

CLEVELAND — President Joe Biden will visit Cleveland on May 27, according to a release from the White House.

Biden is expected to discuss the economy during his visit to Northeast Ohio, though further details on his speech have not yet been released.

During the 2020 presidential election, Ohio was largely ignored by the two major candidates: Biden and Donald Trump. The state had moved more solidly red during the Trump presidency, according to many calculations.

Still, the first presidential debate between the two candidates was held on the Cleveland Clinic's campus, due to the spread of COVID-19, so both Trump and Biden spent time in Northeast Ohio as the election was heating up.

This will be Biden's first visit to Greater Cleveland since taking office. The president has been making stops in neighboring Great Lakes states, like Michigan.
