RTA Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus

This is the 28th RTA employee to test positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in Ohio.

CLEVELAND — An employee for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) has tested positive for COVID-19.

This is the 28th RTA employee to test positive for the virus since the pandemic began in March, WKYC reported. The new case is in the RTA's revenue department.

The employee's work area, equipment and other surfaces were cleaned and disinfected, the RTA said. Staff members who have been in contact with the employee were notified of the positive test.

Of the RTA's 28 employees who have contracted COVID-19, 21 have recovered and returned to work.
