Sizzling Heat, Possible Thunderstorms: Northeast Ohio Forecast

Temperatures will be in the 90s on Tuesday and it will feel even hotter if you step outside.

CLEVELAND — Temperatures will climb into the 90s on Tuesday, creating dangerously hot conditions and ripening the air for possible powerful thunderstorms.

"The warm temperatures combined with a humid airmass will lead to heat indices in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon," the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook statement.

Due to the extreme heat, there is a risk of isolated or widely scattered thunderstorms forming in Northeast Ohio. If the storms do develop, they could bring damaging winds, heavy rain and flooding.
