Snowstorm To Hit Northeast Ohio: 4 Inches Of Snow Possible

A winter weather advisory was issued for much of northern Ohio this week.

CLEVELAND — Up to 4 inches of snow are expected to fall in northern Ohio by Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service warned.

The agency issued a winter weather advisory which is in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. Wednesday. The following counties are included in the advisory: Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula Inland, Huron, Medina, Crawford, Richland, and Ashland.

Snowfall could be heavy at times. Slippery roads are likely Wednesday morning, so commuters will want to leave early. Drivers should proceed slowly if they're caught in a winter storm, the National Weather Service advised.

Temperatures will climb back into the upper 40s on Thursday, melting away whatever accumulation of snow remains. By Friday and Saturday, spring temperatures will return, with highs in the upper 50s or low 60s expected.

Any lingering pockets of snow should be wiped out before the weekend concludes, though rain could dampen the coming weekend.
