Two Men Charged for Fifth Third Bank Robbery

Two Cleveland men were indicted for the armed robbery of Fifth Third Bank in November.

Two Cleveland men were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of robbing the Fifth Third Bank of $5,983, according to a Department of Justice press release.

According to the indictment, James J. Stites-Bray, 23, and Darnell E. Cosper, Jr., 18, entered the bank at 972 East 185 Street on November 16, 2015. The two allegedly brandished handguns and robbed the bank of $5,983.

The indictment also alleges that Stites-Bray was arrested with a .380 caliber pistol, which he couldn't possess due to prior felony convictions.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted the Cleveland Division of Police, the Lakewood Police Department and the RTA Police Department with the investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin R. Filiatraut.
