U.S. Chamber Executive to Keynote Global Employer Summit

The first-of-its-kind business conference unfolds Wednesday at the InterContinental Hotel.

From Global Cleveland: Jon Baselice, Director of Immigration Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will deliver the keynote address at Wednesday’s Global Employer Summit.

Baselice, a former legislative aide to Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida), will offer a business perspective on immigration and the role immigrants play in filling talent gaps in the U.S. economy.

He will speak at 9:15 a.m., following introductory remarks by Dany Bahar, a global economic expert at the Brookings Institution.

The summit, a first for Northeast Ohio, is designed to help local employers tap international talent that can enhance their competitiveness and grow the local economy. It will feature advice from national talent acquisition experts as well as local business leaders who have successfully connected with global
talent and opportunities.

It is sponsored by Global Cleveland in partnership with the InterContinental Hotel, Cleveland Clinic, Crain’s Cleveland Business and Case Western Reserve University.

The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 31 at the InterContinental Hotel on the campus of Cleveland Clinic. Breakfast networking beings at 8 a.m. A cocktail reception will follow the conference at 4 p.m. To register, go to globalcleveland.org/global-employers.
