West Side Market: Free Parking To End Soon
The decision to charge resulted from the number of new businesses in the Ohio City neighborhood.

CLEVELAND, OH -- The city of Cleveland will begin to charge for parking in December at the West Side Market lot. Parking will be free from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for the first 90 minutes. After that, there will be a $1 per hour charge.
City officials said that Ohio City businesses were involved in the decision for the $1 parking fee because so many new businesses have opened in the area in recent years. You will take a ticket upon entering the parking lot. A Pay On Foot Machine will be installed, and shoppers and other visitors will be able to pay the fee with either cash or credit card.
The parking fee machines should be completely installed and operational by mid-December. In the meantime, there is no parking fee in the West Side Market lot.
