- A wind advisory has been issued for Cuyahoga County and surrounding areas today. A high wind warning was issued for several counties in the state for 20-30 mph winds with gusts up to 60 mph. A warm front will move into the area today and bring the temperature up close to 60 degrees, but a cold front will move in midday. (WJW FOX 8 News Cleveland)
- Two East Cleveland schools were placed on lockdown yesterday for "precautionary measures." Shaw High School and Prospect Academy were placed on lockdown after reports of a "possible sighting of an individual carrying an assault rifle and a bomb." After officials performed a sweep of the high school and reviewed security footage in the area, no threat was found. (News 5 Cleveland WEWS)
- The Turkish Community of Cleveland is working to help those in Turkey and Syria after the area suffered a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The Northeast Ohio nonprofit is collecting clothing to send to those in need affected by the earthquake. The six donation collection sites in Ohio can be found at the link and include sites in nearby parma and Pepper Pike; the organization is also accepting donations through a GoFundMe. (WKYC.com)
