The coming El Nino and the Oklahoma drought

Upcoming webinar to consider the Fall/Winter outlook

According to the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) at the start of this year 100% of Oklahoma’s land mass was suffering under some level of drought. Today, although that figure is down to less than 12%, almost 500,000 residents are still being affected.

With an El Nino weather event expected this winter, what does the future hold ? An upcoming NIDIS webinar will try to answer those questions.

“El Nino and Drought in the Southern Plains” will broadcast live from 11am on Monday, October 22nd.
