OKCPS Reschedules Vote For Bond Oversight Committee (blackchronicle.com) — Oklahoma City Public Schools leaders have delayed choosing a new representative for the Bond Citizens Oversight Committee after residents objected to appointing someone who doesn’t live in District 5, which covers much of Northeast Oklahoma City and Spencer. Community members argued that only a resident can truly understand local school needs. The board pulled the item and will revisit the appointment later.
   

2. Vehicle hits Oklahoma City daycare; no injuries reported, fire crews on scene (okcfox.com) — A vehicle crashed into a daycare near Reno Avenue and Mustang Road in Oklahoma City Friday evening, but police say all children are safe and no one was taken to the hospital. Fire crews and Oklahoma City police remain on scene processing the incident, and authorities are still gathering details about how the collision led one vehicle into the building.
   

3. ‘Don't be a Grinch': Holiday inflatables stolen from southwest Oklahoma City homes (koco.com) — Families in southwest Oklahoma City are dealing with stolen holiday inflatables, with home security cameras capturing thieves taking decorations from at least two nearby houses. Police say both households plan to press charges if suspects are caught, while neighbors upgrade security and urge the culprits not to “be a Grinch.”
   

4. Oklahoma City police investigate fatal shooting after brothers' argument turns deadly (okcfox.com) — Oklahoma City police are investigating after an argument between two adult brothers Friday afternoon ended with one fatally shot on the 2400 block of S. Agnew. Officers found one man dead at the scene and took the other brother into custody for questioning as detectives continue gathering details.
   

5. Federal indictment charges Oklahoma City Black Lives Matter leader with fraud (kbtx.com) — Federal prosecutors say a former leader of Black Lives Matter OKC is accused of diverting millions in donated bail and charitable funds for personal use, including Oklahoma City real estate and travel. The indictment details alleged embezzlement from 2020 to 2025, but officials stress the charges are only allegations and the defendant remains presumed innocent while the FBI’s Oklahoma City office continues its work.
