Marco’s Pizza Coming to Shawnee

Premium quality upgrades don’t usually come with value pricing, but that’s exactly what Marco’s Pizza will be bringing to Shawnee when it opens soon at 2003 N. Harrison St.

Celebrated for its authentically prepared Italian-style pizzas that have made it a category leader in both quality and value, Marco’s Pizza menu items are hand made using fresh, never frozen cheeses, dough made in store daily and only premium meats and vegetables. The new restaurant, which is opening next to Family Video in the same shopping center, will offer carryout and convenient delivery service. Family Video’s ownership team, Highland Ventures, LTD., which has operated the video store since 1998, will also own and operate the new Marco’s Pizza location.

Founded 40 years ago in Oregon, Ohio, just outside of Toledo, Marco’s Pizza is the fastest growing pizza company in the United States. The brand’s founder, Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco, who immigrated to the United States with his family at a young age, spent his childhood working in his family’s pizzeria, which became the impetus for Marco’s Pizza. There are currently more than 20 Marco’s Pizza locations in Oklahoma. The Shawnee location will be the first in Pottawatomie County.

The forthcoming location will continue to live up to founder Giammaco’s standards in order to deliver the consistent levels of quality and freshness expected of Marco’s products: dough made fresh daily in each store; a proprietary sauce recipe that blends imported spices and vine-ripened tomatoes; and an exclusive blend of three fresh cheeses (never frozen, unlike many pizza chains).
