Community leaders say ‘no' to recommended Citizens Oversight Bond Committee appointment (news9.com) — Northeast Oklahoma City community leaders are pushing back against a proposed Citizens Oversight Bond Committee appointment they say doesn’t live in the community most affected by the nearly $1 billion Oklahoma City Public Schools bond. They’re urging the board to choose a District 5 resident instead, arguing that bond oversight should come from people who live with the schools’ needs every day.
