SW OKC shooting leaves one woman dead (kfor.com) — A woman died after being shot multiple times at a southwest Oklahoma City park Friday night, and police say a suspect is now in custody following a short vehicle chase ending near Northwest Classen High School. Neighbors described hearing several gunshots and expressed shock that such violence erupted so close to their homes.
   

2. Community leaders say ‘no' to recommended Citizens Oversight Bond Committee appointment (news9.com) — Northeast Oklahoma City community leaders are pushing back against a proposed Citizens Oversight Bond Committee appointment they say doesn’t live in the community most affected by the nearly $1 billion Oklahoma City Public Schools bond. They’re urging the board to choose a District 5 resident instead, arguing that bond oversight should come from people who live with the schools’ needs every day. A key meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Clara Luper Center.
   

3. 84 years later: Remembering the lives lost in Pearl Harbor (kfor.com) — Oklahoma City veterans and community members gathered Sunday to honor those killed in the Pearl Harbor attack, with special focus on the 429 sailors lost on the USS Oklahoma. A local Fleet Reserve Association branch hosted a wreath ceremony and 21-gun salute, emphasizing the importance of preserving this history for future generations.
